The core logic of kannuu look-up can be built into the code of the chip, allowing for look-up processing to be available to application-specific implementations on any device incorporating that chip.

In this way, devices which do not have high-level processors and operating systems, such as music players and digital cameras, can give the user access to kannuu look-up without the need for additional software.
